A moku shaped Aizu shomai iron tsuba. This tsuba has nice takabori of panels showing bamboo, paulownia and pine. The ji is nicely shaped becoming thicker toward the mimi and nice hammer work on the surface. Uchikaeshi mimi. Mid to late Edo period.
