Edo Higo Tsuba

Dimensions: 6.8 cm x 6.0 cm x 4.5 mm

This tsuba looks to be an Edo Higo work. This is made of iron and has takabori of the "go-san" kiri-mon (paulownia family crest). There are udenuki-ana (two small holes at the bottom) which were used to secure the sword to the user's wrist with a leather cord. This tsuba would be ideal for mounting with other kiri mon theme fittings.
