Kyo Sukashi Tsuba
Dimensions: 8.5 cm x 8.4 cm Mimi 5.5 mm
A large iron sukashi katana tsuba with a shakudo fukurin. The theme of this guard is bamboo and two family kamons. Bamboo often represents strength and resilience. This combined with the two family crests may celebrate a coming together with auspicious wishes for the future. This tsuba shows a Momoyama flavor in its design. An initial impression may be Ko Shoami but we think this may be Kyo Sukashi based on its refined sukashi work and lack of any nunome zogan. This would be an exciting tsuba to submit for shinsa. This is in excellent condition and comes with the box shown.
