40 mm x 19 mm x 5.5 mm

This is an Edo period menuki set in the theme of Hannya Noh theater masks. The Hannya is a gruesome looking figure and represents a jealous female demon. These are shakudo with gold iroe in excellent condition. These menuki have male and female posts. This style is most often seen in works dating to the early Edo period or prior. It was also popular in Bakumatsu times with the revival of old styles. It would be ideal to submit these for shinsa in the future.
