正阿弥
Shoami Tsuba

Dimensions: 82 mm x 82 mm Mimi 4 mm

A large iron sukashi Shoami tsuba in the theme of fans and wood sorrel plants (aka "shamrock"). The wood sorrel is known as katabami in Japan and is seen in several family kamon designs. This tsuba is in ubu condition and conveys rather bold feeling overall. This has an NBTHK Hozon paper that attributes it as a Shoami work. This probably dates to the early-mid Edo period. This is an ideal size tsuba for a large katana. Ubu and papered.
