Tsuji Sadanori Futatokoro-mono

Tsuba Dimensions: 7.1 cm x 6.45 cm x 4.5 mm
Fuchi Dimensions: 3.9 cm x 2.2 cm x 10 mm
Kashira Dimensions: 3.4 cm x 1.9 cm x 8 mm

This is a futatokoro-mono by Tsuji Sadanori He was the son or student of Tadasuke, who was a teppo-shi and a student of Rinsendo Mitsumasa. All of these craftsmen worked in Kunitomo, a gunsmith center, in Omi province. Sadanori had the go of Eisendo, which is the mei he used on the fuchi of this set. He was active in late Edo times. The theme of this set is cloud dragons. They are executed in ke-bori with gold accents on a shakudo base. The carving is skillfully done. The tsuba has some patina issues as shown in the photos. This set is accompanied by an NTHK(NPO) Kanteisho paper and a custom fitted otoshi deluxe kiri-bako.
