An outstanding katakiriboiri shibuichi kozuka by Furukawa Jochin. His father was Furukawa Genshin, who was a student of Yokoya Somin. Both father and son were skilled at katakiribori and this kozuka is an excellent example of its mastery. This work dates to about 1750. Jochin is ranked as 良工 Ryoko by Wakayama and is a highly regarded artist. This kozuka comes with a custom fitted kiri-bako and a NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon paper.
